Private John H. Penney

     John Penney was born on 16 Feb 1843, in Huntsville, Missouri. He enlisted in the 3rd Arkansas Infantry and served the entire length of the War. He moved to Canon City in 1875, and lived at 419 Macon St. He was in the freight business, then the furniture and undertaking business. He died on 10 May 1900, at the age of 57. His business and character was one of the highest quality. He was also a Woodman of the World.
