Private James T. Murphy

     James Murphy was born in Ireland in 1842, and enlisted in Co F, 41st Virginia Infantry, serving the entire length of the War. He was at Appomattox Courthouse when General Lee surrendered. He died on 17 Oct, 1905, at the age of 63. He was buried by the GAR as there were not enough Confederate Veterans left to conduct the burial.
