Private Elam H. Morrison

     Elam Morrison was born 24 Feb 1832 in Iredell Co, North Carolina. He enlisted in Co A, 7th North Carolina Infantry, and served throughout the entire War. He came to Canon City in 1886 and was known as one of Canon City's most honest and upright citizen's. He died from cancer (from which he had been suffering from for nine months) on 5 Jan 1900.
